Attention Licking Valley RECC Members:
Licking Valley RECC is alerting its members to beware of a man posing as an Employee of an Electric Cooperative. The suspect is going door to door requesting payment to keep their electric service on. The poser was said to be wearing a grey shirt, grey pants and glasses and driving a white unmarked utility vehicle. The man was seen in the Blue River area of Floyd County Tuesday December 16th and has attempted this scam on Big Sandy RECC members.
Licking Valley RECC employees will never ask for and are not permitted to accept payments in the field. If you are approached by someone who you believe may be posing as a utility employee, please report the incident to your local police dept. or Kentucky State Police.
